Made from the softest French lace, in a warm ivory tone, the Hather Cape is a delicate statement addition to your bridal outfit. The scarf lengths at the back fall to either side of a bridal dress train, showing off features like buttons and godets. Sheer but detailed, it’s the perfect veil-alternative.

Styling

Veil alternative or addition?

We’ve described this as a veil alternative, however, we’ve layered this with a super simple tulle veil on our brides and it works beautifully. It comes down to how much you want to layer and build your bridal look throughout the day. If you’d love a veil for your ceremony but don’t want to miss out on a cape, simply swap to the Hather Cape before your reception.

Frequently asked questions

How can I compare this to your other laces?

The best place to start is our swatches page. From here you can view a list of all fabrics used in the collection, and order swatches to compare and contrast at home.

Can this lace be used to create a scarf?

If you love this lace but prefer a scarf, take a look at our Hather Scarf. We use the same French lace for this, with a delicate scalloped trim along the widths.

Is this lace ivory?

Of all laces used in our collection, the Hather Lace is the warmest in tone. It’s a creamy shade of ivory, with an almost vintage look to it. It complements a range of dresses, from the pale ivory’s to the creamy satins and taffetas.
