Styling

Classically modern

Classic, floral French lace paired with modern styling makes the Calluna Cape gorgeously editorial. Wear with an elegant slip and let the cape steal the show, or pair with a satin ball gown to increase the drama. Alternatively, layer lace on lace for a more maximalist yet chic style.

Creation

From France, to Derbyshire

The Calluna cape uses lace from a world-renowned, family owned atelier. Made in Caudry, France, their laces are regularly used by haute couture houses as well as for royal and celebrity garments. From the weaving machines in France, it comes to us in Derbyshire where we make each cape to order.

Frequently asked questions

Is this lace soft to wear?

Yes, the blend of organic cotton and polyamide of the Calluna lace makes for a very supple, soft lace that is easy to wear against bare skin. To feel the quality and craft of the lace, we recommend ordering a fabric swatch prior to placing your order.

Can this cape be made without the collar?

The Calluna Cape is designed to be made with the scalloped lace collar. If you prefer an alternative neckline but with a floral lace, take a look at the Cole Cape and the Viola Cape.

How can I check if the lace is the right colour to go with bridal outfit?

If you’d like to see and compare this fabric to your bridal outfit, we recommend ordering a fabric swatch. All of our fabrics are available to purchase as a swatch, and will give you a strong feel for the fabric as well as pattern sizing and tone. View our swatches product page to order.
